Разработчики Darkfall Online вновь вернулись к теме системы динамических событий (Dynamic Lore system), пообещав, что она начнет работать в полную силу после выхода дополнения Conquer the Seas. Как раз сейчас девелоперы заняты разработкой ряда вспомогательных средств для большего удобства при проведении игровых мероприятий. Кроме того, подписчикам пообещали запуск специальной странички на официальном сайте проекта, на которой будут отслеживаться итоги проведенных событий и оказанное ими влияние на игровой мир.
Not too long ago we announced Darkfall’s Dynamic Lore system and kicked off with two small introductory events. For the most part we felt these went off quite well. At the end of the day, our main goal with these was for everyone involved to have a great time and hopefully some pvp fun. At the same time, however, they were also part of a learning process for us. We’re quite excited about the Dynamic Lore system and want it to eventually be something both unique and consistently fun for everyone who gets involved. To this end we are developing a number of exciting ideas and you will be seeing the Ul’Tanneks and many of their friends (and foes) in the months to come. We’re also working on a couple of pretty looking web pages where we will add and update the lore and story as it unfolds depending on what actions you yourselves choose! We’re hoping to have these chronicle pages up before not too long.
As said the first two events were simply our little way to introduce some of the factions involved and story and pave the road ahead. They will be but the first of many and once Conquer the Seas is live we will begin to unfold the story lines that will eventually lead to what we hope will be some epically scaled dynamic events that will see both our sinister characters and players alike becoming, and indeed, shaping Darkfall’s lore (while at the same time giving everyone a grand excuse for some indiscriminate large-scale slaughter..). We’d also like to note that we are developing some tools to help make these events a lot smoother and exciting and are discussing ways in which we can make some of these available to players who wish to plan their own events.
